New Resort Offers Fun for Entire Family
For those of you planning a visit to Disney World this Summer check out their newest resort–Disney’s Art of Animation Resort—offering family suites that sleep up to six and the largest pool in Walt Disney Resort measuring in at 11,859 square feet. The pool is surrounded by larger-than-life Disney characters, including a 35-foot-tall King Triton and giant-sized Mr. Ray, Crush and Squirt. The pool also features an underwater sound system.
Opening in phases, each of the four wings of the new resort will be themed around a favorite Disney animated movie. “Finding Nemo” (opens May 31), “Cars” (opens June 18), “The Lion King” (opens Aug. 10), and “The Little Mermaid) (featuring 864 standard rooms opens Sept. 14).
I had the chance to preview the opening of the new resort on a recent press trip to Disney and I can assure you kids (especially under 12) will love it! Each family suite is themed–from carpeting, linens, fixtures, headboards and furniture– to make guests feel they are actually living inside the movie.
The suites are designed to make the most of space, including a dining room table that magically transforms into a pull-down bed. There’s a separate master bedroom and two baths. The resort is a “value-rated property,” which means families can save money while enjoying a fun new resort property.
