Toy Story Land to Open June 30th at WDW

Toy Story World at Walt Disney World
Toys are taking over Walt Disney World!  Starting this Saturday, June 30, guests at Disney’s Hollywood Studios will be able to experience a joy-filled, toy-filled world as only Disney can create.
The new Toy Story Land, inspired by Pixar Animation Studios’ Toy Story films, invites guests of all ages to be “honorary toys” and immerse themselves in the whimsical world of a child’s imagination – just like in the popular films.
Woody, Jessie, Buzz Lightyear, Slinky Dog, the Aliens, Green Army Men and other fun-loving Toy Story characters come to life in Andy’s awesome backyard.
The land offers the best playtime ever. Guests will hop on Slinky Dog Dash for a family-friendly roller coaster ride, take a spin on Alien Swirling Saucers and go for the high score playing midway games on Toy Story Mania!
The new land is the largest expansion in Disney’s Hollywood Studios 29-year history.

Myrtle Beach’s 97 kilometres of picturesque coastline, aptly called the “Grand Strand,” is most famous for its bustling beach atmosphere, replete with live entertainment, amusement parks, acclaimed seafood restaurants, great shopping and world-class golf. But the area also has a quieter side thanks to the beaches, wetlands and quaint fishing villages on its southernmost end. Take an extra- long weekend to explore both the upbeat and the serene sides of this beloved coastal area.

World’s Luckiest Fishing Village

(Guest  Contributor & Photographer: James Richardson)

Destin FloridaDestination: Destin, FL

As you arrive in Destin, Florida, from the west, a sign welcomes you to the “World’s Luckiest Fishing Village.” If Destin is your final destination, you will find out, while the fishing is great, that there is much more to do here than fish.

The Panhandle of Florida is a growing area for many reasons. The major reason is the convenience and accessibility of the Panhandle to the rest of the country. The guidebooks say that Destin is nearer to parts of Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri, Kentucky, Tennessee, North and South Carolina, Mississippi, Alabama, and Georgia, than Destin is to Key West.

This area of Florida is commonly known as the Emerald Coast because of the white sandy beaches appearing green as seen through the shallow blue waters of the Gulf. Traveling to points beyond the Emerald Coast adds hours to a trip — valuable hours of soaking up the sun’s rays. Destin’s white sandy beaches are the major single attraction of the Emerald Coast.
