Surf House Cafe Offers Unique Hot Chocolate Treats
It may not be snowing outside, and you may not be all that cold–but you won’t want to miss a taste of these smooth, rich, specialty hot chocolate drinks! With flavors like Nutella, Ginger Bread, Coffee, Carmel, Peppermint, Old Fashioned, and Guinness (yes that’s correct–they use real Guinness beer) it’s worth a drive to the Surf House Cafe in Wilmington or Carolina Beach!
These seasonal hot chocolate drinks are made with bars of French Valrhona chocolate (knowns for its deep chocolate flavor) topped with “bruleed” marshmallows and froth.
I recently visited the Carolina Beach Surf House Cafe which offers great breakfast choices as well as unique sandwiches, soups, salads and California Bajas. They also offer a kid’s menu.
While the price of the hot chocolate may remind you of Starbucks or Port City Java, ($5 for a large hot chocolate) it’s worth skipping your java one day to experience something different.
